About Salesforce
Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn’t a buzzword — it’s a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.
Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You’re in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.
Job Title: Offensive Security Engineer - Red Team
The Experience
- We are looking for an Offensive Security Engineer to join our Red Team, which simulates real attackers across Salesforce products, platforms, and enterprise environments. You will own complex, end-to-end adversary simulations and partner with the Red Team Director on campaign design.
- With Agentforce woven into every layer of our platform, you will test how attackers could abuse AI-driven systems. You will also use AI tools to speed up scoping, documentation, and reporting, so you can spend more time on hands-on offensive work.
- This role is based in San Francisco, CA or Bellevue, WA and is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
- Design and run end-to-end red team operations that simulate real threat actors, from initial access to objective completion. Use threat intelligence to emulate specific Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) groups and adapt your tactics as defenders respond.
- Find, exploit, and chain weaknesses across applications, identity, cloud, and enterprise environments. Build custom tooling, payloads, and techniques that test security controls and detections.
- Work with the Red Team Director, Detection and Response, Detection Engineering, and Blue Teams on campaign design and purple team exercises. Help engineering teams understand root causes and put durable fixes in place.
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex attack paths and disputed findings, and mentor other engineers. Explain attack chains and business risk clearly to executive leadership, following all rules of engagement, scoping limits, and Operational Security (OPSEC) practices.
You're Our Person If...
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in red teaming, penetration testing, or adversary simulation, including executing end-to-end attack campaigns.
- Experience with manual exploitation, attack chaining, and custom exploit, tooling, or payload development.
- Working knowledge of threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and of identity, application, cloud, and hybrid enterprise attack surfaces.
- Experience bypassing layered security controls and detections, and documenting findings and remediation guidance for technical and executive audiences.
Even Better If...
- Published security research, such as Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) credits, blog posts, or conference talks.
- Experience with assumed-breach or long-running adversary emulation campaigns, and collaboration with Detection and Response or purple team functions.
- Malware analysis or exploit development background, and familiarity with cloud-native architectures and identity-centric security models.
- Offensive security certifications such as GIAC Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester (GXPN), Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP), Offensive Security Experienced Penetration Tester (OSEP), Offensive Security Web Expert (OSWE), Certified Red Team Operator (CRTO), or Certified Red Team Lead (CRTL).
